Using Time-Based One Time Password (TOTP) technology
Cyber security experts are increasingly urging a move away from SMS and phone call-based 2FA systems, to remove the threat of SIM-swap SMS intercepts.
Nothing is perfect. If a virus malware is downloaded on the same device (such as a smart phone), it could steal the generated 2FA MFA codes.
