MultiCloud

What is multicloud and getting your business ready for it.

Preparing for the internet of the future. Is multicloud here today?

In Australia, 5G mobile data and communications has begun deployment. At first there will be only a few areas suburbs covered by this technology. Just like 4G its predecessors, providers have begun their rollout in stages.

Why 5G
Faster response times, allows for a responsive communication between humans and devices. Preparing for the IoT Internet of Things, M2M Machine to Machine communications. Driving team collaboration.

Do we have to reinvent your IT architecture?
We suggest keeping your current investment of 4G systems in place. When planning for new device placement, review if the cost benefit and business requirements are to install 5G capable devices. There may be no need to get 5G devices at the time of publishing.

A reason would be that the end point device does not require such response speeds. Another reason, would be that the device will be used in a physical location where 5G coverage has not gone live, nor will go live during the devices life.
Cost is another factor.

We will guide you and your organisation to connect:
a user, on a suitable device, onto a network, to access the required application.
An example, a field service technician, on a mobile phone with hotspotting, to the 4G network, with wireless when in range to a trusted access point, to connect to your remote office server or private cloud systems.

End-to-End Segmentation – user to the application.

Three domains:

  • User or Device – SD-Access – Software Defined Access
  • Connection Link – SD-WAN – Software Defined Network
  • Application – Program Server in the Cloud – Data Centre automation

Wireless Technology

Wi-Fi 7 – for indoors – wireless first for in building
Review this newer wireless standard if applicable.

Wi-Fi 6E – for indoors – wireless first for in building
Wi-Fi 6E (Gig+) an improvement of the previous wireless standard, allows devices to use a dedicated 6 GHz radio spectrum.

Wi-Fi 6 – for indoors – wireless first for in building
Wireless standards have had a name change. What really matters is its real world performance, security and cost. Improvements in signal penetration, for a better coverage.

Not all countries have adopted this entire range 5.925 GHz to 7.125 GHz, whilst other countries have approved the following range 5.925 GHz to 6.425 GHz.

The primary reason is less interference. No legacy older wireless standards are on these dedicated radio frequencies. This allows for larger channels, to allow more data bandwidth to flow. Please refer to the IEEE 802.11ax standard.

5G connectivity – for outdoors – speed, security
The latest in mobile data voice communications. Speed in the response lag reduction, with the latest in security to protect your data. Getting closer to what a user requires.

4G connectivity – for outdoors – speed, security
At time of publishing, the current in mobile data voice communications.

Mutlicloud aims for

Higher Volume of Data – Client, Network, Application and Security

Higher Diversity of Data – topology, configuration, traffic priorities, mobility patterns

Higher Quality Telemetry – better error logging and diagnostics, access point, switches, client user device, predicting typical data patterns and failure errors. Root cause analysis, with AI machine learning.

Lower latency, more speed, and support for VR

Mobility

Near Time performance of your Cloud Application and Database.

Internet of Things – IoT

Complexity, Security, Scalability

Internet Based Networking – with a level of privacy and security

IPSEC and TLS – Safe Session key for existing encryption protocols

Encryption Technology – to run as fast as the network speed

Cognitive Collaboration

Scale through automation

Enable transformation
