Cloud-Hosted VoIP Internet Telephones

The cloud-hosted VoIP internet telephones that we organise and integrate, support an open standard cloud-based internet VoIP telephone solution.

That means you are not locked down for years to one hardware parts manufacturer.

A conservative approach is taken. From direct experience, we understand the pitfalls of a poorly integrated telephone solution. Do it right once.

VoIP is Voice over Internet Protocol, also known as IP telephony. It is way of delivering voice communication via the internet.

Experience Counts

Our team has over a decade of internet telephony system administration and deployment. The VoIP team have a background of traditional PBX. Our senior systems administrator and senior engineer have been there during the early days of internet telephony. Nothing beats hands on use.

Costs

Opex not Capex

  • Should help smooth out your business costs.
  • In some circumstances, it may be cost effective to
    • purchase your telephone handsets outright,
    • whilst the rest of the telephone system is rented on a contract basis.

What devices can you connect to the telephone system?

The system is available from many types of end-user devices:

  • physical IP telephone handsets (hardware running the open SIP standard)

    Whilst other plans have
  • desktop computer (software runs on Windows)*,
  • laptop computer (software runs on Windows)*,
  • smartphones and tablets (software runs on Apple iOS & Google Android)*
    * Subject to plans, Enterprise options

What is the standard call plan?

Our preferred vendor offer the following contract which includes

Unlimited local, national, Australian mobile and 13/1300 calls (on select plans)
(excludes Premium 19xx numbers)

I was told the Telephone PBX box in my office is better

No More Boxes for Cloud-Hosted VoIP Internet Telephones

Forget about the past in telephone communications. It is now all internet and computerised systems.

With a cloud-hosted telephone system, you are able to have a feature-rich telephony solution. The main system is hosted in a secure Australian based data centre.
This eliminates the need for a costly on premise box.

No need to wait for a technician to drive to your office, to fix or replace a part in your central telephone PBX box. The telephone server is a proven computer software solution.

On-Site telephone systems fail should your internet link be disconnected

If your telephone system PBX unit is setup on-site at your office, this introduces added points of failure.

Should your office internet link get disrupted, cut and your telephone box is at your office; then your customers cannot get answered by your system.

Should your office electrical power supply get cut, blackout, and your telephone box is at your office; then your on-premise telephone system off and cannot answer any calls.

A solution is moving this box (cloud telephone server) into the cloud.

Externally Cloud hosted telephone servers give better redundancy

Our preferred provider place telephone servers within a professional datacentre. These datacentres have multiple links to the internet. Enterprise redundancy.

Should a customer call, and your office or staff internet link be cut, your customers would still be answered by your computerised VoIP telephone system in the cloud.

Professional setup VoIP systems, intelligently divert calls to your staff’s mobile phones, when they have VoIP client software agent installed.

With a Working from Home team, these external users should still be able to attend to the calls. Should no extensions be online, inbound callers should be able to allow Voice Mail Messages to be left. When your internet link or electrical power is later restored, you should receive these as messages as emails with Voice Mail message attachments.

This would be a fall back system to allow for Disaster Recovery continuity.

How to avoid a poor telephone experience

Cloud PBX Server in the same capital city

Place the telephone system in the city nearest to your office location. This is critical.
Many cloud VoIP providers have servers interstate.

If you are in Sydney, it will be placed in Sydney,

Why?
Distance causes latency, causes delays in the very time sensitive voice transmission.

Jitter is one of the most common VoIP call quality problems.
